Lucky stars tutorial

Especially for Chantal. =)

Making the stars is pretty easy - once you have the right paper. I've tried to make some with old magazines, but somehow it just didn't work. Now I use origami paper for Fröbel stars (15 mm x 45 mm).



The first step is to tie a knot like this:



Gently tighten it



Fold the short end toward the pentagram-shaped knot (trim to make it fit if neccessary)



And tuck it into the knot



Turn over and fold the long end towards the pentagon



Turn and fold again



And again... (approx. 13 - 15 times)
until it looks like this (again, trim the end if it is too long)



Tuck the last part under the knot



And you have a thicker little pentagon



Now, with your fingernail make a crease





And continue on the other four sides until it looks like this:



And tadaa: you're done! =)

I hope you this tutorial makes sense (and hopefully it's not making it too complicated?).
