Geburtstagskuchen - Birthday Cake

Max hatte Geburtstag und er war ja soooo aufgeregt. Das ganze Wochenende haben wir gefeiert und heute war dann noch seine grosse Party mit ein paar Freunden.

Toll fand Max seine Geburtstagstorte: Eine Marmor-Ritterburg. =) Für jeden einen Ritter zum Spielen mit dazu und die Party konnte beginnen.

Hat Spass gemacht!

Das Grünzeug ist übrigens grün gefärbte Sahne. ;)

We celebrated Max' Birthday and he was sooooo excited! There were guests throughout the weekend, lots of cake and today a big party with Max little friends.

A great surprise was the cake: A marble-castle. =) Every kid got a knight to play with the cake and the games could begin. It was so much fun!

And yummy, too. =)

The green stuff is green-coloured whipped cream. ;)

Schöne Steine - Beautiful Stones

Heute hatten wir endlich mal wieder Zeit zum Basteln.

Nur meine Maus und ich.

Erst wurden ein paar schöne Steine gesucht, in einer Schüssel mit viel Spüli gewaschen und dann verschönert. Eine Blume hier, eine Sonne da, etwas Glitter und ein paar Herzen.

Nach dem Lackieren fühlen sich die Steine auch ganz toll an.

Today we finally had some time again to craft.

My mouse and me.

We found a few nice stones and washed them first. With a lot of foam, of course.

And then we added some fabric. A flower here, a sun there some glitter and a few hearts.

With a coat of varnish the stones feel very nice and look really nice.

Great!

Blumen - Flowers

Die Nase trieft, es ist furchtbar kalt und kratzen muss man am Auto auch noch... Alles doof!

Schön ist es dann doch, dass endlich mal wieder die Sonne scheint (auch wenn man dabei direkt ans Fenster putzen denken muss....) und es schon ein bisschen nach Frühling riecht (bin halt erkältet, da bildet man sich das gerne ein :-)).

Also, weg mit dem Weihnachtsstern und her mit den Tulpen!

Verbessert die Laune garantiert.

Snotty noses, it's incredibly cold and the ice has to be scraped off the windshield again... :(

But finally the sun is out again (even though it reminds me to clean the windowns again...) and it smells a little bit like spring (I have a cold, I don't smell anything but I like to think that I do - it helps!)

So, gone is the poinsettia and welcome again, tulips!

Brightened mood guaranteed!

Jetzt haben zumindest alle etwas mehr Zeit und das Wetter ist besser (ist so bestellt).

Es wird erst ein wenig spatziert, dabei gespielt und dann gefuttert.

Und es sind gaaaanz viele Kuchen dabei.

Und eine Schüssel mit Cookies.

Tomorrow we're going to have a Christmas celebration with Andrea's classmates and parents and everyone brings something along.

Now we all have a bit more time and the weather is a lot better (it has to be!).

We're going to have a walk and play a bit and then have some cake and coffee.

There will be loooots of cake.

And one bowl filled with cookies.

From me.

Haferflocken cookies

500 g Haferflocken

250 g Butter

200 g Zucker

1 Pck. Vanillezucker

50 g Mehl

1 Tl Backpulver

2 Eier

Prise Zimt

100 g Rosinen

75 g gehackte Haselnüsse

100 g gehackte Schokolade

(Prise Zimt)

Butter in einem Topf erhitzen und mit den Haferflocken vermischen.

Zucker, Vanillezucker und die Eier verquilen.

Mehl und Backpulver mengen und mit dem Zucker-Ei-Gemisch verrühren.

Über die Haferflocken geben, gut verrühren und dann Haselnüsse, Rosinen und Schoki dazugeben.

Cookies formen und bei 190 oC 15 Minuten backen.

Oatmeal-cookies

500 g rolled oats

250 g butter

200 g sugar

1 pckg vanilla sugar

2 eggs

50 g flour

1 ts baking powder

100 g raisins

75 g chopped hazelnuts

100 g  grated chocolate

(cinnamon)

Melt the butter and mix with the rolled oats.

Mix sugar, vanilla sugar and the eggs.

Add the baking powder to the flour and mix well with the egg-sugar mixture.

Pour over the oatmeal and stir along with the raisins, chocolate and hazelnuts.

Form cookies and bake at 190 oC for 15 minutes.

Verschiedene Viren haben sich bei uns eingenistet und vorübergehend lahm gelegt.

Pech!

Schade ist, dass unsere Maus wegen so eines doofen Viruses morgen nicht ihr erstes Zeugnis abholen können wird.

Hoffentlich kann sie wenigstens nächste Woche

die beiden Ferientage geniessen.

A few viruses are currently feeling pretty comfy in our home and stopped many of the nice things we

planned to do.

It's a real pity that our mouse won't be able to pick up her first school report tomorrow.

But I hope she'll be feeling better again next

week to enjoy her two days off.

=)

Unsere Katze geniesst das und hat Spass an den entstehenden Wollknäulen.

Our cat just loves the extra attention and Andrea making balls of yarn.

Zwischendurch hatten wir noch unser neues Schlafzimmer ein wenig weiter dekoriert, Bücherregale aufgehangen und noch ein bisschen mehr angepinselt.

Schön ist's geworden.

In between we decorated our new bedroom a little bit more, added som bookshelves here and there and also a little more colour.

It's pretty nice now.

Und wenn ich mal nicht gerade zum Arzt muss, oder den Haushalt mache, koche, vorlese oder Taxi spiele, werden kleine Blümchen für mein neues Projekt gehäkelt. Sie sind richtig niedlich, nach dem schönen Tutorial von EASY. Bald kommen noch frischgrüne Blätter dazu... Foto's kommen dann natürlich auch.

And when I don't have to go to the doctor, do chores, cook, read to the kids or play taxi, I have time to crochet little flowers for my new project. They are so cute! I uses the (great!) tutorial from EASY. I'll soon have enough (for now) and can start on making some fresh, green leaves. Pictures will follow.

Gestern war's so schön mild und sonnig - richtiges Frühlingswetter! Ich bekam Lust, unsere Fensterbank ein weing zu begrünen, schnappte mir den Kleinen und ein wenig Erde und habe ein paar Kräuter gepflanzt. War schön... Und jetzt freue ich mich auf ein bisschen frisches Grün...

The weather was incredibly mild and sunny yesterday - real spring-weather! I got in the mood for something green and took Max to plant some seeds and grow some herbs. So nice... Now I can't wait to have some fresh freen leaves peaking out...

In der letzten Zeit hatte ich irgendwie zu gar nichts richtig Lust. War auch mal schön nur zu lesen, mit den Kindern zu spielen und einfach nichts zu tun.
